At the end of January, 6 of our club members swapped the cold London weather for (partly) warm (and a bit windy) weather on a liveaboard in Egypt. Making use of good out-of-season prices they boarded the “Emperor Superior” on the “South and St John’s Safari” trip.

What can I say – being 10 (6 of us and 4 others) on board a boat designed for 25 guests; with 11 crew members, including a chef, a pastry chef and 2 dive guides was a luxurious experience. Diving was intense, some of us did 21 dives in 6 days – for me, this was a personal record, and diving was also superb – highlights include seeing the caves at St John’s and Claudia reefs, close-ups with Oceanic white-tip shark at Elphinstone and, yes, the night dive with the epic “Spanish Dancer”.
Massive thanks from me to all who participated for a very relaxing time diving and good company and special thanks to Leszek for proposing and organising this trip.
